Terms & Conditions

Last Updated: 8/17/2026

Welcome to uniya.my, operated by UNIYA TRADING Enterprise (Registration No. 202603175267 (AS0517706-A)), referred to in these Terms & Conditions as “UNIYA”, “we”, “us” or “our”.

These Terms & Conditions govern your use of our website and your purchase of products from UNIYA. By accessing our website, placing an order or using our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions together with our Privacy Policy, Refund Policy and Shipping & Delivery Policy.

Nothing in these Terms & Conditions excludes or limits any rights that cannot lawfully be excluded under applicable Malaysian law.

1. Use of Our Website

You may use this website only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms & Conditions.

If you are under 18 years old, you may use the website and place an order only with the consent and supervision of a parent or legal guardian.

You must not use our website:

  • For any unlawful or fraudulent purpose
  • To provide false, misleading or inaccurate information
  • To interfere with the operation or security of the website
  • To transmit viruses, malicious code or other harmful material
  • To attempt unauthorised access to our systems or customer information
  • To copy or commercially exploit website content without permission
  • In any manner that may harm UNIYA, our customers or third parties

We reserve the right to restrict or terminate access to our website where misuse is reasonably suspected.

2. Products and Availability

All products are subject to availability.

Certain products sold by UNIYA may be seasonal, fresh, imported, limited in quantity or available only during selected shipment periods. Availability may change without prior notice due to harvest conditions, supplier availability, flight schedules, import clearance, quality inspection or other operational circumstances.

Adding an item to your cart does not reserve the product.

Where a product becomes unavailable after an order has been placed, UNIYA will contact you to discuss an appropriate alternative, rescheduling or refund.

UNIYA will never substitute a product, brand, grade, origin, size or variety without first obtaining the customer’s approval.

We reserve the right to limit quantities purchased by an individual customer where reasonably necessary, including for limited-stock or promotional products.

3. Product Information and Images

We aim to ensure that product descriptions, specifications, prices, weights, origins and other information displayed on our website are accurate.

However, natural and seasonal products may vary from one batch to another.

Product photographs are provided for reference and presentation purposes. Actual products may vary naturally in:

  • Colour
  • Size
  • Shape
  • Texture
  • Appearance
  • Marbling
  • Firmness
  • Flavour

Such reasonable natural variations are not normally considered product defects.

Screen settings, photography conditions and packaging changes may also cause the appearance of a product to differ slightly from images displayed online.

Where origin, grade, supplier, net weight, storage method or recommended use is important to a particular product, customers should refer to the information stated on the relevant product page.

4. Products Priced by Weight

This section applies only to products specifically identified as “priced by weight” on the relevant product page.

The price displayed for such products may be based on an estimated or reference weight.

The actual product will be weighed during fulfilment and the final price will be determined according to its confirmed weight.

Where the final weight differs from the reference weight:

  • An additional balance may be payable
  • A refund or price adjustment may be due to the customer

Any required adjustment will be communicated and settled before dispatch where applicable.

For selected weight-based products, a small variation of approximately ±10g may occur due to the physical condition of the product, moisture variation or differences between weighing equipment. This allowance applies only where stated on the relevant product page.

5. Prices

Unless otherwise stated, all prices displayed on uniya.my are in Malaysian Ringgit (RM).

Delivery charges and other applicable charges may be calculated separately and shown during checkout.

We may change product prices at any time before an order is confirmed.

Price changes will not normally affect an order that has already been accepted by UNIYA, except where there is an obvious pricing, system or listing error.

6. Pricing and Listing Errors

We take reasonable care to ensure that prices and product information displayed on our website are accurate. However, errors may occasionally occur.

If a product is displayed with an incorrect price, description, quantity, promotion or other material information, UNIYA may cancel the affected order and issue a refund for any amount already paid.

Where reasonably possible, we will inform the customer before cancelling the order.

UNIYA is not required to fulfil an order at an obviously incorrect price resulting from a genuine technical, administrative or listing error, subject always to applicable law.

7. Placing an Order

By placing an order, you confirm that:

  • The information provided is complete and accurate
  • You are authorised to use the selected payment method
  • You have reviewed the product information before purchasing
  • You agree to these Terms & Conditions and the policies referred to within them

Submitting an order or making payment does not by itself guarantee acceptance of the order.

An order is considered confirmed after payment has been successfully verified and UNIYA has accepted the order.

We may decline or cancel an order where reasonably necessary because of:

  • Product or stock unavailability
  • Incorrect pricing or product information
  • Payment failure or verification issues
  • Suspected fraudulent or unauthorised activity
  • Delivery restrictions
  • Duplicate or abnormal orders
  • Product quality concerns
  • A product failing our inspection upon arrival
  • Other circumstances preventing us from reasonably fulfilling the order

Where UNIYA cancels an order after payment has been received, the relevant amount will be refunded in accordance with our Refund Policy.

8. Pre-Orders and Order Cut-Off Times

Certain products are offered on a pre-order basis.

Our current regular shipment cut-off times are:

  • Tuesday arrival: Orders close Monday at 7:00pm
  • Friday arrival: Orders close Thursday at 7:00pm

Orders placed after a cut-off may be moved to the next available shipment, subject to availability.

Because pre-order products may be specifically reserved or ordered from our suppliers, confirmed and paid orders are non-cancellable unless otherwise required under applicable law or agreed by UNIYA.

Arrival schedules may occasionally change due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control.

9. Payment

Available payment methods may include:

  • Credit or debit card
  • FPX
  • DuitNow
  • Bank transfer
  • Other payment methods or payment service providers made available through our website from time to time

The payment methods available to you will be displayed during checkout.

Some payments may be processed by third-party payment providers. Such providers may apply their own terms, privacy practices and security procedures.

UNIYA does not generally store complete credit or debit card credentials where these are processed directly by an authorised payment provider.

Orders will only be processed for fulfilment after payment has been successfully verified.

10. Cancellation, Returns and Refunds

Due to the nature of our products, particularly fresh, chilled, frozen and other perishable goods, confirmed and paid orders cannot normally be cancelled because of a change of mind.

Returns, refunds, replacements, partial refunds and store credits are governed by our Refund Policy.

Customers should review the Refund Policy before placing an order.

Nothing in these Terms limits any remedy available to a consumer under applicable Malaysian law.

11. Shipping and Delivery

UNIYA currently provides delivery within Kuala Lumpur and Selangor, subject to courier coverage and product availability.

Delivery arrangements, fees, shipment schedules, delivery windows and receiving requirements are set out in our Shipping & Delivery Policy.

Delivery may be arranged through third-party providers including Grab, Lalamove or other logistics partners.

Once a delivery is in progress, delivery times may be affected by traffic conditions, weather, courier availability and other circumstances outside UNIYA’s direct control.

Customers are responsible for providing a complete and accurate delivery address, contact number and any necessary delivery instructions.

12. Receiving and Storing Perishable Products

Customers should inspect fresh, chilled, frozen and other perishable products immediately upon delivery and follow the storage instructions stated on the product page, packaging or label.

Products requiring refrigeration should be refrigerated promptly after receipt.

Customers are responsible for the condition of products after successful delivery where deterioration results from:

  • Delayed collection
  • Failure to refrigerate or store the product appropriately
  • Leaving the product unattended
  • Incorrect storage
  • Mishandling after delivery
  • Failure to follow supplied storage or consumption instructions

Any issue identified upon delivery should be reported in accordance with our Refund Policy.

13. Food, Allergens and Dietary Requirements

Some products sold by UNIYA may contain or come into contact with common food allergens, including seafood, shellfish, fish, dairy, egg, soy, sesame, wheat, nuts or other allergens.

Customers with allergies, intolerances, dietary restrictions or specific health concerns should carefully review available product information before purchasing.

If you are uncertain about the ingredients or suitability of a product, please contact UNIYA before placing your order.

Although we aim to provide accurate product information, manufacturer or supplier formulations, ingredients and production methods may change from time to time.

Where packaged products are supplied, customers should also review the manufacturer’s label before consumption.

14. Raw and Ready-to-Eat Products

Certain products offered by UNIYA may be intended or recommended for raw or ready-to-eat consumption, while others may require cooking or preparation.

Customers should follow the instructions and recommended use shown on the relevant product page or packaging.

Products should not be consumed raw unless they are identified as suitable for raw consumption.

Proper chilled storage, cleanliness and handling are important when preparing fresh seafood and other perishable foods.

Where you have a medical condition, weakened immunity, food allergy or other health concern, you should consider whether raw or minimally cooked foods are appropriate for you and seek professional advice where necessary.

15. Promotions, Discounts and Promotional Codes

UNIYA may offer discounts, promotional codes, vouchers or other promotions from time to time.

Promotions may be subject to additional conditions including:

  • Validity or expiry periods
  • Minimum spending requirements
  • Selected products or collections
  • Limited quantities
  • Customer eligibility
  • Single-use limitations
  • Restrictions on combining multiple promotions

Unless otherwise stated, promotional codes cannot be exchanged for cash.

UNIYA may reject, suspend or cancel a promotional code where it has expired, been used incorrectly, duplicated, obtained improperly or used fraudulently.

We may amend or withdraw a promotion where reasonably necessary, subject to orders already validly accepted and applicable law.

16. Customer Reviews, Photos and Other Submissions

Where UNIYA enables reviews, comments, photographs, testimonials or other customer-submitted content now or in the future, you remain responsible for anything you submit.

You must not submit content that:

  • Is unlawful, defamatory, abusive or misleading
  • Infringes another person’s intellectual-property or privacy rights
  • Contains malicious software
  • Contains unsolicited advertising or spam
  • Falsely represents your experience with a product

By voluntarily submitting content for publication, you grant UNIYA a non-exclusive permission to display, reproduce and use that content in connection with our website, products, social media and marketing, unless otherwise agreed.

Where reasonably practicable, we will respect any specific privacy or attribution request made when content is submitted.

UNIYA may remove submitted content that violates these Terms.

17. Intellectual Property

Unless otherwise stated, the content of uniya.my—including UNIYA’s name, logo, branding, photographs, graphics, product descriptions, written material and website content—is owned by, licensed to or used with permission by UNIYA.

You may view the website for personal, non-commercial use.

You may not reproduce, republish, distribute, modify, sell, commercially exploit or use UNIYA’s content without prior written permission, except where permitted by law.

Third-party trademarks, product images and brand names remain the property of their respective owners.

18. Third-Party Services and Links

Our website may contain or use services, tools or links provided by third parties, including:

  • Shopify
  • Payment providers
  • Banks and payment networks
  • Grab
  • Lalamove
  • Social-media platforms
  • Analytics or marketing providers
  • Other technology or service providers

Third-party websites and services are governed by their own terms, conditions and privacy policies.

UNIYA does not control and is not responsible for the independent content, availability, security, policies or services of third-party websites or platforms.

However, nothing in this section removes any responsibility UNIYA may have under applicable law for services we engage directly in fulfilling your order.

19. Website Availability

We aim to keep uniya.my available and functioning properly, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access at all times.

The website may occasionally be unavailable because of:

  • Maintenance
  • Updates
  • Technical faults
  • Hosting issues
  • Cybersecurity measures
  • Other circumstances outside our reasonable control

We may modify, suspend or discontinue website features where reasonably necessary.

20. Accuracy of Website Information

We aim to keep the information on our website accurate and current.

However, information relating to seasonal products, availability, shipment dates, supplier details or other time-sensitive matters may change.

UNIYA may correct typographical errors, inaccuracies or omissions and update website information where necessary.

Where a material change affects an accepted order, we will contact the affected customer where reasonably possible.

21. Events Beyond Our Reasonable Control

UNIYA will not be responsible for delays or failure to perform an obligation where performance is prevented or materially affected by circumstances reasonably beyond our control.

Such circumstances may include:

  • Flight delays or cancellations
  • Severe weather
  • Natural disasters
  • Customs or import-clearance delays
  • Government restrictions
  • Supplier or harvest disruptions
  • Transportation interruptions
  • Courier disruptions
  • Power or telecommunications failures
  • Labour disruptions
  • Other comparable events outside our reasonable control

If such an event affects an order, UNIYA will communicate with the customer as soon as reasonably practicable.

Where UNIYA is ultimately unable to fulfil the affected order, the customer may be offered:

  • Rescheduling to a future shipment
  • A refund for the affected product or order
22. Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by applicable law, UNIYA will not be liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from the use of our website or products where such losses were not reasonably foreseeable.

UNIYA is not responsible for losses arising solely from circumstances attributable to the customer, including incorrect delivery information, improper product storage, misuse of products or failure to follow clearly provided instructions.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where such exclusion or limitation is prohibited by Malaysian law, including applicable consumer rights relating to goods supplied to consumers.

23. Indemnity for Misuse of the Website

To the extent permitted by law, you may be responsible for loss or damage reasonably incurred by UNIYA as a direct result of your unlawful use of the website, fraudulent activity or infringement of another person’s rights.

This section does not apply to ordinary consumer claims or lawful use of our services.

24. Suspension or Termination

UNIYA may suspend or terminate a customer’s access to certain website functions or refuse future orders where reasonably necessary because of:

  • Fraud or attempted fraud
  • Repeated payment abuse
  • Serious misuse of promotions
  • Unlawful website activity
  • Abuse or threats towards our staff, couriers or service providers
  • Serious or repeated breaches of these Terms

Any outstanding rights or obligations relating to orders placed before termination will continue where applicable.

25. Privacy

Your personal data is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

By using our website or services, you acknowledge that personal data required to process orders, payments, customer enquiries and deliveries may be processed in accordance with that policy.

26. Severability

If any provision of these Terms & Conditions is found to be unlawful, invalid or unenforceable, that provision will be interpreted or limited to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will continue to apply.

27. No Waiver

If UNIYA does not immediately enforce a provision of these Terms, this does not mean that we permanently waive our right to enforce that provision later.

28. Entire Agreement

These Terms & Conditions, together with our Privacy Policy, Refund Policy, Shipping & Delivery Policy and any product-specific terms displayed before purchase, form the agreement between UNIYA and the customer relating to use of our website and purchase of our products.

Where product-specific terms apply, those terms should be read together with these Terms & Conditions.

29. Changes to These Terms & Conditions

We may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time to reflect changes to:

  • Our products or services
  • Website functions
  • Payment or delivery methods
  • Business operations
  • Applicable legal or regulatory requirements

The latest version will be published on uniya.my together with the updated date.

Changes will apply from the date they are published and will not normally alter rights relating to an order that was already accepted before the change.

30. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of Malaysia.

Any dispute arising from these Terms, the use of our website or a purchase from UNIYA will be subject to the applicable laws and dispute-resolution processes of Malaysia.

Nothing in this section restricts any mandatory right or remedy available to a consumer under Malaysian law.
